Guests are welcome to bring their dogs, cats, horses, birds or other pets to
ArdPark Cabins and Campground. We even provide some furnishings for your
pets! At the All American and The Pines cabins, guests will find small,
medium, large and jumbo pet bowls suitable for your dog or kitty. Feed and
water buckets for your horses are available at the All American.
Man's best friend is not required to be on a leash while on ArdPark
property. If you allow your pet(s) to run free at our cabins or campground,
please be mindful that deer, turkey and other wild animals roam our land and
the surrounding national forest. Please keep a close eye on your pet(s) so they
do not wander onto any roadway. ArdPark Cabins, LLC accepts no
responsibility for lost pet(s) or any illness, injury or loss of life sustained by
any pet(s) that our guests may bring with them.
On public land, a leash is generally required. On the national forest land
directly off of ArdPark property, pet traffic is not monitored and it is rare to
encounter other visitors there. We have many times taken our dogs with us for
a walk on that national forest land without using a leash. Guests are
encouraged to use their discretion.

Emergency medical care for your pets is available in the area, although vets sometimes come
and go. Over the years, we have personally dealt with Bates Creek Veterinary Clinic in Potosi
and more frequently, Drs. Swope in Cuba. Although we didn't find any information about
emergency hours, our experience lends to you a toll free phone number for emergency
assistance from the Cuba Veterinary Clinic. A list of area equine veterinarians can be
found on our Horseback Trail Riding page.

Your pets of darn near any
kind are always welcome at
ArdPark (for free)!
We ask that you keep your pet(s) off the furniture and beds at the All American and The
Pines cabins. If that is not possible, please bring a sufficient number of blankets or sheets
to cover the furniture and beds. Doors to any bedrooms not being used can simply be shut.
Pets should be clean and, if possible, bathed prior to your stay. If we must wash down
walls and doors to remove oily pet dirt after your departure, your credit card
will be charged, without notice, $50.00 for cleaning. No exceptions!
Pets must be free of fleas. Use of a flea preventative such as Frontline® or Advantage
Multi™ is strongly encouraged. Such medication will also protect your pet(s) from ticks
during your stay at ArdPark.
Guests must thoroughly clean up indoor accidents made by any of your pets' bodily
functions. Pet waste made outdoors at either cabin or the Courtois Cabana campground
should be removed and discarded in the woods where it will not be stepped in by other
guests. A shovel and rake are provided at all facilities. Guests with horses at the All
American are asked to remove manure from the horse pen and/or yard and discard it in
the woods prior to their departure. A pitch fork and large shovel are provided.
Pets are not required to be crated if left unattended indoors. We prefer that cats are at
least front declawed. If your cat(s) is not front declawed, please insure they do not scratch
on the furniture or draperies.
We reserve the right to capture your security deposit and charge your credit
card an additional amount equal to the cost of any repairs or furniture
replacement necessitated by damage caused by your pet(s).
